The Challenge
Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit; you will be responsible for the security and integrity of our systems that keep our jets flying. It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, maintain, and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services. As critical members of the F35 Operations Team, all ALIS administrators must be able to:
* Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
* Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods of time dependent upon operational needs
* Be capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements
* Complete a pre‑employment medical exam that ensures capability to deploy with our military customer, possibly to austere environments with limited access to medical care
A Day in the Life
This role is in support of RAF Lakenheath that will be based in the United Kingdom. As an ALIS Administrator with our F-35 ALIS team partnering with our customer, you will wear many hats; system admin duties, data management duties, network admin duties and mission planning admin duties. ALIS Administrators are generally the first point of contact for customer inquiries, field any questions and/or concern and troubleshoot any reported problems. You will be assigned tasks in most ALIS administrative roles to further develop your skills and increase capabilities within the ALIS administrator role.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Interacting daily with users and ALIS/LM leadership
* Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of systems/databases/network equipment
* System/database/software/firewall/account maintenance and monitoring
* Installing system wide software, allocating mass storage space
* Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi user computer systems through coordination with peers, Tier2 and engineers
* Reviewing processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis
* Laptop re‑image, troubleshooting, account maintenance
* Regular monitoring of systems/applications for availability and performance
Basic Qualifications
* Candidates must have a Secret security clearance with investigation within the last 6 years
* Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA) within 60 days of hire
* IT experience of any combination in system/database/network administration
* Knowledge of any of the following: Windows; SQL; Cisco products
* Operation may require working at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week, including weekends, as dictated by mission requirements. Medical examination and/or customer mandated vaccinations may be required for certain deployments.
* Ability to deploy as needed in accordance with customer requirements is an essential function of the role.

* Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers, virtual machines, databases and network equipment
* Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper‑V/ VMware)
* Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
* Applying updates, anti‑virus/anti‑spyware updates, and patch updates
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
* Importing/Exporting large data volumes
* Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, including the JSF ALIS hardware and software
