Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Solicitor to join our clients established property team in Bishops Stortford. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, delivering high-quality legal services to a broad client base.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion
* Handle sales, purchases, leasehold and freehold properties, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds
* Conduct title checks, property searches, and draft/review contracts
* Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to ensure smooth progression of transactions
* Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients at all stages of the conveyancing process
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
* Meet billing and performance targets
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate
* Minimum of 2 years’ PQE in residential conveyancing (flexible depending on experience)
* Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently
* Strong technical knowledge of conveyancing procedures and property law
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* High level of attention to detail and organisational ability
* Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable Skills
* Experience handling high-volume caseloads
* Familiarity with local property market in Hertfordshire/Essex area
* Business development or networking experience
