Reed Further Education are seeking a Music Production Lecturer with extensive experience in live music and sound production. This role is ideal for someone who has worked at live events and is capable of managing and supporting the auditorium activities at a college in based in Birmingham.
Job Title: Music Production Lecturer
Position: 12 hours, timetable to be confirmed, term-time only
Role type: Temporary Ongoing
Location: Digbeth, Birmingham
Rate: £26p/h to £28.67p/h including holiday pay
Day-to-day of the role:
* Deliver engaging and informative lectures on music production, focusing on live sound and event production.
* Supervise and support live performances and events in the auditorium, ensuring high-quality sound and production standards.
* Provide hands-on training and guidance to students on sound equipment and live event management.
* Develop and update course materials to reflect current trends and technologies in the music industry.
* Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
* Assist in the planning and execution of school events that involve music production and live performances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in live music and sound production, preferably with a portfolio of managed events.
* Strong technical knowledge of sound systems and production equipment.
* Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
* Ability to work flexibly around event schedules, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
* A passion for education and continuous professional development in the field of music production.
* Enhanced DBS on update service or willingness to apply for one.
