Job Summary
The Ridgeway Surgery, a busy GP practice in Sedgley, Dudley serving around 12,000 patients, is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice and Business Manager. The role offers the opportunity to lead the organisation, shape the future of the practice and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred care.
Key Responsibilities
* Service improvement and patient experience initiatives.
* Oversee practice finances, budgets, contracts and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with NHS regulations, governance, risk management and quality standards.
* Support workforce planning, recruitment, staff development and performance management.
* Work collaboratively with GP Partners and the wider leadership team on strategic planning and practice development.
* Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, well‑being and continuous improvement.

About the Practice
The Ridgeway Surgery is a friendly, supportive training practice with a multidisciplinary team, including GP Partners, salaried GPs, advanced nurse practitioners, practice nurses, allied health professionals and a dedicated management team. Our practice is routinely recognised for excellent patient care and staff wellbeing. We serve Sedgley, Coseley and Gornal under the PCN and consistently achieve high QOF scores.
Person Specification – Experience
* Previous management experience in primary care or a healthcare setting.
* Strong leadership, operational and people management skills.
* Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
* Experience in financial management and budget oversight.
* Knowledge of NHS primary care operations, governance and regulatory requirements.
* Ability to lead change, improve services and motivate teams.
* A proactive, professional, patient‑focused approach to service development.
Compensation & Employment Details
Salary: Depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Full‑time, Part‑time
