As a Decorating Technician within our Planned Works team, you’ll play a hands‑on role in enhancing the quality, comfort and appearance of our homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and the wider operating area. Together, we’re building a better future. About The Role We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Decorating Technician to join our Planned Works team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the maintenance and improvement of our homes, ensuring they are presented to the highest standards for our residents. You’ll deliver cyclical decoration works across both internal and external areas of our properties. This includes preparing surfaces, carrying out minor repairs, and completing painting and decorating tasks to a professional finish. You’ll work closely with the Planned Works Manager and a wider team of property professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely and to a high standard. This role is available following an internal promotion within the team. Key Responsibilities Complete decoration works as instructed across internal and external areas Prepare walls and surfaces prior to painting Carry out minor repairs and use tools and equipment safely Erect access equipment where required (e.g., ladders, towers) Monitor and manage stock levels in the company van Liaise with colleagues, contractors and residents professionally Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with health & safety procedures Must Haves What We’re Looking For Recognised qualification in painting and decorating or at least 5 years’ relevant experience Strong customer focus and excellent time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good understanding of health and safety legislation Physically fit and comfortable working at height Full, valid manual UK driving licence Nice To Haves Experience working in housing or property services Experience using access equipment such as scaffolding or towers For Added Brilliance Pride in delivering high‑quality workmanship A positive, proactive attitude and commitment to great customer service Benefits At SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
