As a Maintenance Controller, you'll be at the centre of our vehicle maintenance operation — coordinating repairs, services, and inspections to ensure our fleet remains compliant, safe, and operational. You'll collaborate with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to plan work, solve problems, and ensure consistently high service standards.
A typical day includes:
* Coordinating scheduled maintenance, repairs, MOTs, and inspections
* Responding to breakdowns and urgent maintenance requests
* Working with external garages, dealerships, and tyre suppliers to arrange and monitor work
* Raising purchase orders and tracking job progress through to completion
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation
* Communicating clearly with customers and keeping them informed throughout
* Escalating time-critical issues and supporting operational decision-making
* Logging all activity in our CRM system and supporting team efficiency
* Any other administration duties required to fulfil the role.
Experience required:
· Demonstrable experience in general administration role.
· Ability to adapt to a changing environment and comply with internal and external business processes.
· Attention to detail
· Excellent time management skills and be a forward thinker with the ability to plan with strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues that may arise.
· Excellent communication and IT skills, being proficient with applications such as MS office, and the ability to build rapport quickly with peers and customers.
· Previous helpdesk experience within the automotive industry is desirable, but full training will be given.

This role is permanent, full time and based in Cannock. The salary for this role starts at £25,000 per annum. The hours of work are 10am to 6pm with a lunch break.
