Building Society Clerk (Part-Time)

About the Role
We're seeking two part-time Building Society Clerks to support our Yorkshire Building Society Agency in Seaton, Devon. This position combines customer service with administrative support, ideal for someone organised, approachable, and professional.
You'll join a supportive and experienced team in a welcoming office environment, working directly with customers and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Main Responsibilities
Full training provided
Process deposits, withdrawals, and account openings
Support customers with online banking and digital queries
Answer phone calls and take messages accurately
Handle admin tasks in line with YBS policies and procedures
Open and close the office, and maintain tidy reception areas
Greet and assist customers, visitors, and contractors
What We're Looking For
Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
Previous customer service experience is essential
Experience handling cash is helpful (but not required)
GCSE Maths (Grade 4 / C or higher)
Confident using digital tools and platforms
Excellent communication (oral and written)
Organised, adaptable, and discreet with a team-oriented mindset
Hours & Benefits
16-22 hours/week, Mon-Fri (Saturday mornings may be added later)
In-person role based in Seaton office (8:50am-5:05pm, with 1-hour lunch break)
20 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
? Increases to 25 days after 3 years
? Option to buy/sell 1 week of holiday (at manager's discretion)
