Overview
EPM Solutions are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Engineer to compliment our existing team based at our offices in Paisley. Initially reporting to the Technical Manager for allocation of work and to predominantly assist with Hazardous Area Classification/DSEAR project delivery, the longer-term expectation is for you to develop into becoming our Lead Engineer in terms of projects of this nature. Although office based, the role will require occasional travel to customer sites (including overnights), predominantly within the confines of the UK.
This position requires focus, attention to detail and a genuine recognition of responsibility in terms of providing a technically competent and first-class level of service to our extensive and varied client base.
Responsibilities include working with hazardous environments, with potential travel to UK sites as required.

Responsibilities
* Assist with Hazardous Area Classification/DSEAR project delivery under supervision, with progression toward Lead Engineer responsibilities for projects of this nature.
* Provide a technically competent, first-class level of service to an extensive and varied client base.
* Occasional travel to customer sites (including overnights), predominantly within the UK.
Essential Attributes/Qualifications/Experience
* Minimum of 3 years working experience in engineering (process, plant, equipment, maintenance), within industrial and hazardous environments.
* A team player with an appetite for personal development, a focus on continuous improvement, and an aspiration to become a DSEAR subject matter expert.
* Excellent time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
* Holding an industry recognised engineering qualification (or relevant working experience in lieu of formal qualification).
* Ideally mechanically biased, but willing to consider those with an electrical bias.
* Familiarity with DSEAR legislation and the ATEX directives.
* Previous working involvement/experience in both Hazardous Area Classification and/or DSEAR studies.
* Basic grasp/understanding of ATEX and COMAH.
* Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams: Can read P&IDs, recognising symbology and understanding the system functionality/process within.
* Hazardous Area Classification Drawings (HAC): Understanding of HAC drawing principles (sources of release, zoning, product class, etc.).
* Computer Aided Design: Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D).
* Office 365 experience.
* Full driving licence (own transport preferable, but not essential).
Desirable, but not essential
* Working experience of DSEAR Risk Assessments.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D).
* Proficiency in MS Excel.
* Process safety experience.
* HAZOP/LOPA/SIL.
* Broad understanding of or experience in engineering Asset Management.
* CMMS systems experience.
* Maintenance Planning experience.
