Spire St Anthony's Hospital has an exciting bank opportunity for a healthcare assistant to work in the Outpatient department on a flexible working basis. The successful applicant will work in a team that provides high quality evidence-based nursing care in clinic settings to facilitate smooth and efficient clinics. And will work shifts based on department’s operating hours.
Spire St Anthony's Hospital, founded in 1904, delivers care through skilled and dedicated staff working together. With a completed £27m development investment, we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. This role is based in a fast-paced environment providing the opportunity to develop and increase healthcare knowledge and experience. You will be given a full comprehensive induction when you start including the opportunity to train in venepuncture and basic dressings
2. Assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment
Who we're looking for
3. Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
4. Experience ideally within OPD, will consider acute ward or POA experience
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
6. NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential
7. Experience in the following: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations
