Specialist Support Worker – Epilepsy & Complex Needs
Full Time – Female Service Users (18–35 years old)
Location: Links Support Solutions Day Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated and compassionate individuals to join our Specialist Epilepsy Support Team at Links Support Solutions Ltd.
We provide high-quality, person-centred support to young women aged 18–35 living with complex epilepsy, autism, and learning disabilities. This role will be primarily based at our day service, with some work in the community and at other service locations.

Main Duties of the Role
* Deliver high-quality, safe support to females with complex epilepsy and associated conditions.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support within the day service and in the community.
* Monitor and record seizure activity, administer emergency medication in line with training, and respond calmly to incidents.
* Support individuals to achieve their personal goals, build confidence, and develop independence.
* Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and health professionals to ensure consistent, person-centred care.
* Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing to care planning, risk management, and safeguarding.
* Promote dignity, respect, and inclusion at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Experience working with people with epilepsy, autism or learning disabilities (as a carer, support worker, or volunteer).
* Ability to remain calm in emergencies and follow seizure management protocols.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A positive, reliable, and caring attitude.
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Team player who can also work independently.
* full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
* Epilepsy or rescue medication training.
* Experience working with individuals with complex health and behavioural needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding adults and young people.
