Location: We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 2-3 days a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

We have a brand new opportunity available for a Non-Functional Performance Tester with strong experience in data-intensive systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating system performance, scalability, and reliability, especially in environments where large volumes of data are processed.

What you'll be doing?
* Conduct penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security audits across applications, networks, and data environments.
* Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests for data-driven applications.
* Analyse system behaviour under different data volumes and user loads.
* Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data flows and identify performance bottlenecks.
* Develop test scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
* Monitor system metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network) during test execution.
* Provide detailed performance reports and recommendations for improvements.
* Validate data integrity and consistency during performance testing.
* Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements and SLAs
Who are we looking for?
* Solid understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
* Proven ability to define, prioritise, and deliver high-quality software features.
* Proven experience in non-functional testing, especially performance and scalability testing.
* Strong understanding of data systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
* Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling).
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, New Relic).
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
* Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
* Knowledge of data profiling and analysis techniques.
* Experience with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
* Background in SaaS, FinTech, HealthTech, or eCommerce.
* Familiarity with UX/UI principles and user-centric design.
* Working knowledge of data privacy laws and compliance standards.
* Experience with DevSecOps and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
* Exposure to machine learning models and their security implications.
* Experience with big data technologies
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests.
* Exposure to data privacy and compliance testing.
