Overview
Program Manager
The Fluke Program Management Office is seeking a Program Manager to drive business growth by applying program management skills. Fluke is the world leader in professional electronic test tools and software; your programs will help keep the world up and running by developing and delivering rugged, reliable, and accurate test and measurement tools and software used by professionals in critical and fast-growing industries such as solar power and electric vehicle service equipment.
Reporting to the manager of the PMO Develop team, you will own process discipline, leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed program teams through scoping, securing resources, setting program targets, and holding self and team accountable. The role requires a person who is comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, in managing conflict and tradeoffs and enabling cross-functional clarity and execution.
Responsibilities
* Develop and manage program scope, secure resources, set program targets, and drive accountability across cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams.
* Communicate effectively at all organizational levels; act as liaison between cross-functional team members; lead stand-up meetings and leadership communications.
* Create and update schedules and action plans; drive crucial conversations and countermeasures with the team.
* Demonstrate strong team-building skills; collaborate with multiple cross-functional, cross-geographic teams to drive project execution.
* Identify when countermeasures are needed; lead trade-off discussions and impact analysis; guide teams through pivots when necessary.
* Champion change management; advocate for and lead through organizational changes.
* Apply basic program management skills, including use of system tools and Fortive Business System (FBS) tools/skills and project visual management as applicable.
* Cultivate a culture of problem solving; identify and manage risks; escalate issues when necessary.
* Create, manage, and track budgets for projects of low to medium complexity.
* Maintain knowledge of standard work across the entire product lifecycle for project management; collaborate with functional departments to support program activities.
* Lead project stand-up meetings; communicate with leadership and team; apply visual management tools (Build Measure Learn schedule, issue tracker, risk register).
* Possess knowledge of Agile Program Management (APM); scope projects, define and manage to critical path, and manage to the critical path on low to medium complexity projects.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 2+ years of program management experience, ideally with an R&D background
* Demonstrated ability to inspire collaborative team execution, including leadership of geographically dispersed cross-functional development teams
* Proven experience in risk management and change management
* Comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization and adjusting for audience and purpose
* Bachelor’s degree desirable, but not mandatory
* APM/PMP certification a plus
