I have a vacancy for a Personal Assistant to provide my care, personal support and to enable me to make the most of my life.
Hours: Various 12 hour shifts and sleep ins
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Weymouth, Dorset
Pay & Benefits
£12.71 per hour (10:00-22:00)
£40 per night (22:00-10:00)
PAs room with en-suite and access to a kitchen when on shift
5.6 weeks holiday pro rata
About Me
I am a 33 year-old female who has a physical disability, Cerebral Palsy, as well as Autism and ADHD. I like enjoying life to the fullest whilst being as independent as possible.
I am a friendly person with a great sense of humour. I enjoy having a busy social life as I have a great network of friends and a very supportive family. Being adventurous is a huge passion of mine. I also love doing things any other young person does, such as - going to the cinema, shopping, eating out, doing Lego, attending pride advents, travelling, music festivals, taking the dogs out, watching live music, beach days, going to the gym and much more. Expenses for most of the activities above will be paid for. This job would make it the ideal work for someone with similar interests and likes. :)
About the Job
This is an awesome opportunity to do something very different to most other jobs and to make a positive/meaningful impact on my life. You will be required to help me with personal care, social support and do things like housework, pet care and take me to appointments. This is a flat mate/friend type role which is much more than simply care work and includes the typical social events a person of my age would like to do.
Living Situation
I live with my family in Dorset. I have my own separate flat/annex that is located beside the family home, where you will be provided with an ensuite PA room within my annex and have access to my kitchen.
Skills required for this job are
You must hold a full clean UK driving licence and be a safe and confident driver.
References will be required.
About You
You are not required to have any care experience and will receive full training in meeting my particular needs.
You must be able to get along with my family and friends.
You need to be patient, caring and have a good sense of humour.
You need good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative.
Have good hearing and communication skills. Speaking fluent English is necessary.
Be willing to help me with pet care.
Finally, be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.
