A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Cancer Service for a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 25 at MKUH. The team aspires to provide exceptional care for the public of Milton Keynes. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated Registered Nurse to help us achieve our goals. Are you that nurse?
Department: Ward 25
The post holder will work on service development and governance to ensure the Ward maintains high national and peer review standards.
This rapidly expanding, modern, and busy centre offers many training opportunities. Recent developments include the opening of our cancer centre in February 2020. We have a forward-thinking & supportive management team, Nurse Practitioners, Palliative Care Team & Macmillan Information and Support Centre supporting this developing service.
We believe in holistic care, with a newly established wellbeing team to enhance the recovery package for patients living with and beyond cancer. We also have the Citizen Advice Bureau onsite and offer various carers and patient support groups.
Opportunities exist to develop both clinical & managerial skills and for further study.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the current senior team within the Cancer Centre to ensure high-quality, professional leadership, clinical excellence, and improved outcomes for patients, families, and carers within the Haematology service. Experience caring for patients with cancer and a nationally recognized Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy course is essential.
