Overview
Croston Sports Club is looking for a motivated and organised Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to lead our growing kitchen operation.
This role would suit either an experienced chef looking for stability or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up into their first kitchen leadership role.
Our food offering has become an important part of the club, with a focus on freshly prepared, homemade food and high-quality service across multiple types of events.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys running their own kitchen, and wants to help continue building the reputation of our food offering.
About the Kitchen
We operate a varied kitchen serving:
* Fresh bar menu
* Breakfast service
* Traditional Sunday roasts
* Buffets and function catering
* Formal 3-course dinners
* Sports and club event catering
* BBQs and bespoke menus
Everything is prepared fresh and from scratch, and consistency and quality are central to what we do.
Service Times
* Tuesday – Friday evenings (5pm – 9pm)
* Saturday all day (10am – 9pm)
* Sunday all day (10am – 7pm)
The Role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, including:
* Delivering the current menu to a high standard
* Preparing quality breakfasts and Sunday roasts
* Producing buffets and event catering
* Planning and delivering formal dinners and functions
* Managing ordering, stock control and food costs
* Maintaining kitchen paperwork and compliance
* Working closely with management to support club events
You will have the support of a part-time sous chef, but will take overall ownership of the kitchen operation.
