Working in the Finance Group within the Government, your role is to protect public funds and add value through finance assurance activities.
The Change & Mobilisation Team is part of the Payments, Systems & Financial Control Directorate in DWP Finance. The team coordinates and leads the Department's support of the Synergy Programme, which aims to transform shared services across DWP, MoJ, Defra, Home Office, and their Arm's Length Bodies (ALBs). The team supports all Finance Global Processes to design future shared services and the new Enterprise Resource Planning system, as well as supporting transformation and business readiness for new ways of working.
The transformation will impact over half of the Civil Service, affecting around 250,000 Public and Civil Service employees. Synergy's mission is to make working lives easier and improve service delivery by providing smarter, faster, and more intuitive systems designed around user needs. It aims to simplify and optimize shared services, improve user experience, enhance data quality and reporting, ensure service continuity, and demonstrate value for money.
