Senior Project Design Engineer Location : Northwich Salary: Based on experience Hours: 37 Contract Type: Permanent About the Role We’re looking for a talented Senior Engineer who can bring both technical expertise and a sharp eye for quality to our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, combining hands-on product engineering with responsibility for quality control and compliance. You’ll take our products from concept through to manufacture, ensuring they’re not only brilliantly designed but also meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer delight. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end product development process, from idea generation to manufacture. Develop technical solutions that meet commercial briefs, quality standards, and compliance requirements. Oversee quality control processes including product testing, inspections, and compliance documentation. Identify issues and implement corrective or preventative actions to maintain high standards. Work closely with suppliers and factories in Asia on sampling, audits, and production alignment. Keep technical and compliance documentation up to date and audit-ready. Collaborate with internal teams (Design, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service, Studio, Engineering) to deliver projects on time and on budget. Support continuous improvement across product design, manufacturing, and QC processes. What We’re Looking For A degree in Mechanical/Product Engineering (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of CAD and project management tools. Solid understanding of quality systems and international compliance standards (USA/EU/Asia). Experience with product lifecycle management, prototyping, and ideally injection moulding/high-volume production. Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical, solutions-focused mindset. Someone proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. A collaborative team player who communicates well and stays calm under pressure.
