We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a team, supporting children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a rewarding role where you will help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND
* Assisting the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources
* Encouraging independence, positive behaviour and social interaction
* Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress
* Working closely with the SENCO, teachers and parents to deliver personalised support plans
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Have experience working with children with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech &; language needs, or learning difficulties)
* Be patient, empathetic and able to build positive relationships
* Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
* Be adaptable, proactive and committed to making a difference as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
* Be passionate about inclusive education and supporting all learners
