SEN Learning Support Assistant – Fareham
Full Time | Permanent | Immediate Start | £13.68 per hour
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Fareham. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1-to-1 basis, helping them to access learning and achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1-to-1 support for SEN students in and out of the classroom.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to tailor learning to individual needs.
* Encourage students’ academic, social, and emotional progress.
* Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour.
* Uphold safeguarding and equality policies at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Have previous experience supporting young people with SEN or additional needs.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability.
* Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues.
* Show resilience and a commitment to supporting every child to succeed.
