Overview

Join to apply for the Headteacher, CARDIFF COUNTY COUNCIL role at Guardian Jobs. Due to the retirement of the current headteacher, we have an exciting opportunity for an excellent candidate to impact on children’s lives at St Fagans Church in Wales Primary School. This headship is an excellent prospect for a person who is a committed, practising Christian, with a clear vision for Christian Education, who will cherish and support the Christian ethos of our school and its community.

Our children need a fantastic new headteacher for our highly successful school. They are looking for a special person and if that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

* cares passionately about the children and their development and whose thinking and decisions are influenced by this.
* lives by their values and is compassionate, honest, open, fair and tolerant. Embraces diversity in all its forms and builds trusting relationships and vibrant communities.
* leads others and encourages collaborative ownership for the benefit of individuals and the whole school community.
* is committed to inclusion and the success of every individual. Looks beyond the school gates and reaches out to others; parents, carers, governors, partners, local schools and the wider community.
* is a strong leader who demonstrates resilience and bravery; someone who is confident to challenge and lead change for the benefit of the children.
* wants to make a difference to the lives of children.

We have a:

* committed team of staff who are driven by doing their very best for the children and who live and breathe our school motto of being “Happy to love, learn and pray together”.
* dedicated Governing Body who will work closely in partnership with you.
* school with great opportunities and a willingness by the whole school community to sustain, and improve on, the progress made.
* recent Estyn Inspection report that confirms the “nurturing and caring environment” where “pupils appreciate the well-being support provided” and “engage well with their learning”.
* as a result, “nearly all pupils including those with additional learning needs (ALN) make good progress”.
* most importantly, fantastic children who are enthusiastic about coming to school and can’t wait to meet you.
