Job Description Are you passionate about meeting or exceeding customer requirements? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer with a proven track record of success facilitating quality management systems within a small team. As an integral member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality objectives and targets are achieved, and customer satisfaction is maintained. The Quality Engineer will support the QHSE Manager on all matters concerning Quality Assurance for the procurement and delivery of assigned projects. This role to include supporting the Quality Assurance of key project suppliers and sub-tier suppliers of parts and sub-assemblies and identifying areas for Improvement. As a consequence, this role may require some travel within the UK and some European travel. The role shall assist in ensuring the integrity of products and processes to satisfy business, customer, statutory and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Direct project Quality activities and local responsibility to promote a positive quality, safety and environmental culture; Liaise with clients and suppliers on quality-related topics; Ensure internal and external quality concern investigations are carried out in a timely and effective manner; Undertake internal quality audits, suppliers audits and act as one of the key points of contact and guides during customer and third-party certification audits; Conduct and generate First Article Inspection Report reviews/approvals and management of PPAP’s for assigned projects; Facilitate structured 8D problem-solving activities including the use of suitable RCA tools to ensure customer satisfaction and prevent reoccurrence of problems. Work closely with the QHSE Manager to ensure the business management system is effectively implemented, maintained and improved at the local facility; Confidence with drawings, supplier engagement and cross-functional collaboration; A practical, sleeves-up mindset. Curious and calm under pressure; Provide quality assurance to the senior leadership team during rapid growth period. Qualifications / Skills Required Degree in Engineering or equivalent Quality discipline; Qualified Lead Auditor for ISO9001 as a minimum, with 14001 and 45001 highly desirable; Experience of APQP and PPAP would be advantageous; Previous experience within a manufacturing environment; Good communication skills.
