We have partnered with one of the boldest, policy-driven UK think-tanks to find their new Managing Director. This non-partisan, internationally focused Think Tank works across a range of policy areas providing vital political data and detailed research reports.
As MD, you will play a critical role in helping take the organisation to the next level in leadership, effectiveness and efficiency. This person must have both an understanding of the political and policy landscape but also commercial experience within an organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Play an active role in the Senior Management Team and be in charge of executing and managing the business strategy
* Ensuring the smooth running of the organisation’s operations
* Support the Executive Director in strategic development and fundraising
* Manage the organisation’s project pipeline and facilitate the successful production of research reports
* Provide guidance and team leadership to the employees
* Assist with financial management and forecasting
Key Requirements:
* Senior management team experience with wide-ranging responsibility at an organisation of a similar size
* Ability to develop and implement wide-reaching strategic plans – translating vision to reality
* An entrepreneurial and creative approach to growth and a hands-on approach to problem solving
* Overseeing operational and financial performance and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects
* Experience in one of sales, fundraising or development work
* Ability to lead and inspire teams
