Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the General Surgery Management Team within the Colorectal & UGI department. This fixed‑term contract (12 months) offers development and exposure to a wide range of operational issues.
Main Duties
* Develop within a management role, demonstrating excellent inter‑personal and communication skills.
* Forge and maintain relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* Manage a busy workload, prioritise and focus on critical issues for decision‑making.
* Apply operational management skills and experience of managing administrative teams.
Essential Qualifications
* Diploma/Degree in Management or a health‑related subject.
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
* Leadership and team‑building skills.
* Experience working in an acute Trust.
* Ability to develop strong multidisciplinary relationships.
* Previous experience in a health‑care environment.
* Ability to work in a demanding, pressured environment.
Personal Qualities
* Consistently professional, collaborative and compassionate; works with patients and people at the fore – operates to a customer‑service ethos.
* Takes responsibility and is accountable for delivering to agreed objectives.
* Supervisory experience of one or more persons in the work environment.
* Commitment to own personal development and undertake necessary training.
Eligibility & Requirements
We do not offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles as the positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
Applicants must:
* Have a minimum of six months remaining on a UK visa at the start date (unless the applicant holds a Skilled Worker Visa). If a Skilled Worker Visa is required, B2 English evidence must be provided before a Certificate of Sponsorship can be issued.
* Provide an official government translation of overseas qualifications through ECCTIS (if applicable).
* Undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (and any appropriate admin fee).
Visa Eligibility Notice
* Skilled Worker visas cannot currently be issued to Afghan nationals.
* Study visas cannot currently be issued to nationals of Afghanistan, Cameroon, Myanmar or Sudan.

Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 per annum.
Hours: Full‑time – 37.5 hours per week.
