Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Children and Families Support Workers to join our team in the North West. You will provide direct support to children, young people, and families, ensuring safe, nurturing, and consistent care across a variety of settings. This is a varied role involving supervised contact sessions, in-home 24/7 support, outreach visits, and home visits.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe and structured supervised contact between children and family members, maintaining professional boundaries and accurate written records.
* Provide 24/7 in-home support, offering guidance, routine management, and safeguarding where required.
* Complete home visits and outreach support to families and young people, promoting positive engagement and independence.
* Support parents and carers in developing routines, managing behaviour, and meeting children's basic and emotional needs.
* Maintain clear, timely, and professional written reports and logs for each session.
* Work closely with AV Social Work practitioners and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times, following policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Requirements
* Previous experience in children's social care (residential, family support, fostering, supervised contact, or similar).
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential – must be a driver).
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overnight where required.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm, professional, and child-focused in challenging situations.
