Overview
I am recruiting 2 children's support workers to work hand in hand for my 11 year old son. The role is to enable my son to access structured activities that promote his development and independence. The activity will be different each week, he enjoys visiting trampoline parks, walks at the RSPB nature reserve, visiting the park and the Sea Zoo. A driving license and access to a car is essential.
Responsibilities
* To work hand in hand with another support worker with my son, and take him out to an activity of his choice each week such as for a walk, the park, trampoline parks.
* To encourage him to stay out, to support his independence away from his family.
* To ensure one support worker stays with him at all times, give the child your full attention to observe him and to keep him safe.
* To occasionally support with personal care with his nappy or taking him to the toilet.
* To be aware of his food allergies, training can be provided if necessary, but awareness and knowledge of these is beneficial.
* There is the potential for more hours to be available in school holidays in the future.
* Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
* Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

* Can work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required.
