Building Assurance Manager – Tesco
We’re looking for a proactive, solutions‑focused professional with strong technical expertise to lead building assurance across our UK property portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Defining the UK property building assurance strategy and ensuring the correct procedures are in place in collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Delivery and Procurement.
* Act as the technical lead for building assurance across UK Property.
* Collaborate with internal teams, external contractors and consultants to drive continuous improvement in quality outcomes.
* Lead Building Condition Survey (BCS) quality assurance checks, both desktop and on‑site, to ensure the quality and completeness of survey data.
* Provide technical analysis to ensure reliable asset and defect data is captured and effectively filtered to stakeholders.
Qualifications
* MRICS / MCIOB
* Building Surveyor degree or similar qualification in the built environment.
* Experience leading change, stakeholder management, upskilling teams and embedding new processes or standards.
* Proven track record in building quality assurance, audit processes and implementing improvement plans.
* Experience with using and applying building contracts and terms.
