The Domestic Services Department is recruiting for Domestic Assistants to undertake cleaning responsibilities across the Angus locality. The goal is to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness within healthcare settings, including wards, side rooms, theatres, offices, health centres, and GP practices.
Requirements and Responsibilities
You Must Have The Ability To:
* Work as part of a team or independently, including lone working.
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills, and effectively listen and communicate information.
* Respond constructively to unpredictable situations and cope under pressure.
* Complete domestic-related paperwork accurately.
* Maintain awareness of basic health and safety and infection control issues related to the role.
* Carry out tasks methodically following instructions.
* Undertake mandatory training, both online and face-to-face.
* Perform duties safely and competently, including walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting with appropriate aids.
* Work in busy clinical and non-clinical environments, including areas with increased heat, secure units, and distressed patients.
* Operate in environments that may be infected.
* Maintain a professional approach and observe confidentiality.
* Learn and adapt to new situations and procedures.
All Domestic Assistants may be required to work across NHS Tayside at various sites or areas as needed.

You will need to complete the Healthcare Support Workers Workbook to demonstrate competence in your role and must adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
