About Us
We are a leading UK-based environmental and planning consultancy, delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions across infrastructure, energy, and development sectors. With offices across the UK and a growing portfolio of nationally significant projects, we are expanding our Environmental Planning team and seeking a Technical Director – EIA to lead and shape our EIA offering.
The Role
As a Technical Director – EIA, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-profile EIA projects across sectors such as energy, transport, water, and urban development. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, provide strategic advice to clients, and ensure technical excellence and compliance with UK EIA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of major EIA projects from inception to consent.
* Provide strategic and technical direction to project teams and clients.
* Oversee the preparation and review of Environmental Statements and supporting documentation.
* Engage with stakeholders, regulators, and planning authorities.
* Mentor and develop junior team members.
* Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
About You
* Proven experience in leading EIA projects in the UK.
* Strong understanding of UK planning and environmental legislation.
* Chartered Environmentalist or equivalent professional accreditation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
* Experience working in a consultancy environment.
