Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food safety, and delivering exceptional dining experiences that reflect our commitment to hospitality.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in all dishes served.
* Develop new recipes and menu items that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations.
* Collaborate with management on inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs effectively.
* Ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
* Engage with guests to receive feedback on dishes and enhance their dining experience.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail in both food preparation and presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests.
