GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a school in Derby. This role provides an excellent opportunity to deliver inclusive lessons, support pupils’ individual learning needs, and foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment. Role Overview: As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of your pupils. You will work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to help children develop academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will: Plan, prepare, and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the needs of SEND pupils. Support pupils’ learning, personal development, and social skills. Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for SEND Primary Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Experience teaching SEND pupils in a primary setting. Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and SEND interventions. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
