Introduction Our client, a highly respected Lloyd's broker is looking for an experiened General Liability Casualty broker to join their International Professional Risks Division, specialising in international business, excluding USA. The successful candidate will be broking/assist with the producing of General Liability business, with the overall objectives of growing the account and increasing profitability through existing client relationships and developing new opportunities. They will also assist with the day-to-day operation and management of the team. Opportunities for development for the right candidate are significant. Key Responsibilities Broking new/renewal business to Lloyd’s, London Company and Overseas Company Market to the satisfaction of clients Taking an active role in the procurement and retention of business. Assist with building on existing - and developing new - client relationships. Must be prepared to travel. Assisting divisional management in duties as required. Developing Knowledge and expertise to assess client requirements/broking strategy on any particular risk Liaising with account handlers and clients where appropriate to assess Insured requirements/broking strategy on any particular risk. Forming an integral part of the General Liability team and ensuring product and business area knowledge is current and continually updated. Maintaining client confidentiality at all times. Undertaking and completing to the required level all FCA and compliance training as deemed appropriate by divisional management. Work actively to promote AGR within and outside the firm at all opportunities Skills and Knowledge: Proven experience of working in the insurance market (handling Casualty products) Good knowledge of general insurance, its processes and procedures and underlying legal principles. Good knowledge of the specific business markets for the classes of business for which you are responsible. Knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial customers General knowledge of International insurance and reinsurance business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Competently utilise Company IT systems. Salary; Competitive, based on experience
