Position: Memorial Consultant Location: Charnock Richard Crematorium. Job Type: 40 Hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days including 2 in 4 Saturdays. Flexibility required with start and finish time to meet the needs of the business. Salary: £27,000 per annum We have a vacancy for a Memorial Consultant to join our dedicated team at Craigton Crematorium supporting families with their memorial needs. As a Memorial Consultant, you will play an important role in guiding families through their options with care and professionalism, ensuring each enquiry is handled with the utmost respect and attention to detail. This is a meaningful opportunity for someone who can demonstrate empathy, resilience, and a commitment to exceptional service. The role involves working to service level agreements (SLAs) and performance targets, with the potential to earn bonuses in addition to a competitive base salary. Key Responsibilities: Meet with clients to discuss their memorial requirements, always ensuring that the client is well-advised, informed of all options, and accurately advised of costs. Coordinate and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams regarding memorial requests and queries. Accompany the client to visit the completed memorials on-site to ensure we have met every request of the client's needs. Witness and carry out interments based on the Client's request. Carry out administrative tasks relating to the processing of memorial agreements, ensuring compliance with cemetery/crematorium regulations. Communicate with the administration staff to ensure that they have the appropriate documentation and are aware of any further enquiries or orders. Whilst the above duties will be a main part of your role, our teams work collaboratively, therefore, you will be upskilled in other duties across our Crematorium Teams. We are an agile team; meeting the needs of our customers requires us to be mobile and flexible, therefore you are likely to be asked to work across different locations in the local area when required based on operational needs. This role will suit someone who: Possesses exceptional communication and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail to ensure strict compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Demonstrates emotional intelligence and takes pride in providing compassionate customer care in sensitive situations.
