We're looking for a Compliance Manager to bring expertise, rigour and proactive oversight to our recycling and waste‑management operations. You'll play a key role in ensuring we meet our regulatory, environmental and technical obligations while championing a strong compliance culture across the business. What You'll Be Doing Compliance Assessment & Verification Assess recycling and waste‑handling activities against legislation, standards and environmental requirements. Verify compliant use of materials and suitability against technical specifications. Review waste‑acceptance data for completeness, accuracy and compliance. Support evidence gathering for End‑of‑Waste status and maintain associated records. Audits, Inspections & Sampling Lead planned audits and inspections across internal sites, suppliers and third‑party facilities. Record findings, raise non‑conformances and help track corrective actions. Conduct material inspections and sampling; coordinate internal or external testing. Maintain audit schedules, inspection logs and sampling/testing records. Documentation Control & Technical Support Review, organise and distribute compliance‑critical documents, test certificates and supporting records. Support the creation of technical submissions and compliance evidence packs. Maintain compliance documentation relating to waste protocols and customer declarations. Data Management & Reporting Collate and validate compliance data, including test results and waste‑acceptance information. Monitor waste flows, waste‑to‑landfill percentages and other KPIs. Produce regular compliance dashboards and reports for operations, technical and environmental teams. Ensure accurate, timely data is ready for external audits or regulatory enquiries. Cross‑Functional Liaison Work closely with teams across the business to improve compliance processes and documentation standards. Provide clear feedback on audit findings and required actions. Participate in site meetings and share compliance insights. Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibility Follow all company HSE procedures and promote safe working practices. Report health, safety or environmental risks promptly. Support a positive and proactive compliance culture. What You'll Bring Strong understanding of environmental legislation, waste protocols and compliance standards. Excellent attention to detail and confidence reviewing technical documentation and data. Experience conducting audits, inspections or sampling activities. Clear communicator with strong report‑writing skills. Highly organised with strong record‑keeping discipline.
