Role Overview
You will be working with young people up to 18 years old. You will play a vital role in supporting and helping them to build confidence, life skills, and resilience in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive relationships with residents to support their emotional and social development.
* Support daily routines, including meals, education, and activities.
* Create a safe, nurturing environment where young people feel secure and valued.
* Manage challenging behaviour using de‑escalation and positive behaviour strategies.
* Maintain accurate records including logs, reports, and incident forms.
* Participate in household tasks such as cooking and cleaning when applicable.
* Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins.
Qualifications And Skills
* Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field are preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive and energetic attitude, with a passion for working with young people. A commitment to being a positive influence and role model.
* A valid UK driver’s licence and a clear Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
