We are looking for a self‑motivated Pharmacy Technician with a high attention to detail to join our Primary Care Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Team. You will need to be passionate about patient care, have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, and the drive to push the boundaries of the profession.
As part of the Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Team, you will support the development and implementation of the health board workplan by analysing prescribing data, developing standard operating procedures, and working closely with stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the health board work plan in GP practices, liaising with practice staff, community pharmacies and other health care professionals to ensure this is done seamlessly.
* Promote and support safe, cost effective prescribing working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Assist in the delivery of pharmaceutical education relating to medicines management for pre‑registration pharmacy technicians, trainee pharmacists, other healthcare professionals and non‑registered staff.
* Be involved in the process of controlled drug destruction in community pharmacies and GP practices.
* Maintain excellent communication skills and be confident in interacting with a diverse range of people and staff groups in a variety of settings.
* Be self‑driven and able to work autonomously to complete tasks within the desired time frame.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
