Overview
The Early Support Service (previously known as Early Help) has a strong local and national reputation for ensuring children and families can access the right support at the right time through a robust stepped approach. We are offering a full‑time Early Support Officer position on a fixed term 9‑month contract. This county‑wide post requires working across the five districts and boroughs of Warwickshire, supporting Community Lead Professionals and responding to the needs of the service on a rotational basis. The role involves coordinating Early Support, working closely with Children and Families teams and statutory partners, and ensuring appropriate referral and support provision for children and families.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Early Support across the county and support Community Lead Professionals.
* Respond to queries and escalation of needs on a rotational basis as part of Family Connect (Warwick).
* Ensure the presentation of information for referrals and support services aligns with Warwickshire’s Spectrum of Support.
* Work closely with statutory partners, voluntary sector, and other service providers to coordinate support for children and families.
* Monitor and record interventions and support using Local Authority systems.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree level (Level 6) in a relevant field.
* Confidence in delivering training to professionals.
* Experience developing restorative and relational approaches to partnership building.
* Ability to target contacts to increase capacity and effectiveness of the Early Support network.
* Strong communication and interaction skills with children and families in a restorative manner.
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
* Fluency in accurate spoken English to the public.
* Capacity to identify services and advise practitioners on support packages.
* Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children, young people and adults.
