Overview
Maintenance Engineer – Wincanton, Somerset. Salary: £45,500 – £47,000 per annum, Monday – Friday (early finish Friday). 33 days holiday, increasing holiday, additional leave for birthday, career progression & development.
Role & Responsibilities
* Planned maintenance inspections; review parts used
* Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on range of equipment
* Monitor plant conditions; report defects; repair of machinery
* Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs and risk assessments
* Report on plant performance using systems; ensure action on non-conformance issues
* Work on a range of valves and pumps
* Support production and continuous improvement projects
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Formal engineering qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
* Continuous improvement knowledge
* Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
* Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments
