Personal Assistant to Managing Director
West Midlands - Office based
£35,000 to £45,000 (dependent upon experience)
Our client is a well-established and respected construction sub-contractor based in the West Midlands, proudly working with Tier 1 main contractors across the region. As a growing business, they are looking for a proactive and highly organised PA to the Managing Director to support the leadership team and help drive the business forward.
The Opportunity
This is a unique and varied role that combines PA duties with marketing, construction administration, and business development support. You'll be at the heart of business operations, supporting the Managing Director and Head of Construction, as well as playing a key role in promoting the company and maintaining essential compliance.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is happy to get stuck in across a range of responsibilities. While experience in construction would be beneficial, it's not essential — the right attitude, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn are more important.
Key Responsibilities
PA Duties
* Provide administrative support to the Managing Director and Head of Construction
* Manage diaries, organise meetings, and coordinate internal communications
Marketing
* Maintain and update the company website and LinkedIn profile
* Promote company achievements and milestones
* Coordinate client events such as days at the Races and Sports days
* Organise staff Christmas parties and internal social events
* Prepare case studies and award submissions
Construction Administration
* Manage company construction certifications
* Maintain the training matrix and ensure H&S compliance
* Book training courses and liaise with subcontractors
* Assist with pre-qualification questionnaires and quality submissions
Business Development
* Attend customer pipeline events and meetings with supply chain managers
* Help maintain and grow client relationships

Who We're Looking For
* Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident communicator

* Experience in a construction or contractor environment is a bonus — but not essential
