Reporting to the Enterprise Solution Architect, the Security Architect is a senior member of the Solution Design team, responsible for shaping, designing, and governing secure IT solutions across Razorblue’s client base. This role combines deep technical expertise with commercial awareness and excellent customer engagement skills.
You’ll work closely with the Solution Architect team, Security, and Consulting teams to ensure all proposed solutions are secure, compliant, and aligned with best practice. You’ll support pre‑sales engagements, contribute to architectural design, and act as a trusted advisor throughout project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and next‑generation firewalls, alongside a strong understanding of modern security frameworks and threat landscapes. You’ll be comfortable switching between customer meetings, technical design sessions, and hands‑on engineering work when required. A qualification recognised by IASME to certify Cyber Essentials Plus will be required for this role.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design of secure, scalable infrastructure and cloud solutions for new and existing clients.
* Produce and review technical design documents (HLDs) in line with Razorblue’s standards.
* Ensure security controls and architectural principles are built into all designs.
* Join client meetings to gather requirements and translate them into secure technical solutions.
* Present proposed designs confidently to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Support Account Managers and the Solution Architect team in preparing technical proposals and scopes.
* Balance commercial and technical priorities to deliver solutions that are both secure and viable.
* Act as Razorblue’s subject‑matter expert on cybersecurity best practice.
* Align all solution designs with frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, and NCSC guidelines.
* Conduct internal and client‑facing security reviews, readiness assessments, and recommendations.
* Maintain current penetration testing qualifications to support Cyber Essentials Plus assessments.
* Oversee and support vulnerability assessments across client environments, ensuring consistent methodology and quality.
* Use industry‑standard tools (e.g. Nessus, Qualys, Defender for Endpoint, or equivalent) to identify vulnerabilities and configuration weaknesses.
* Review scan results and work with the Consulting and Security Operations teams to prioritise and coordinate remediation activities.
* Provide technical guidance to consultants and engineers on patch management, configuration hardening, and security control implementation.
Qualifications
* Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
* At least one relevant IASME recognised qualification:
o CREST Registered Tester (CRT)
o Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
o CHECK Team Member / Team Leader
* Relevant infrastructure qualifications.
Experience
* Microsoft Stack experience including Microsoft 365.
* Windows Server installation & configuration.
* Virtualisation.
* Vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys.
* Cloud platforms experience with private & public cloud such as AWS & Azure.
* Security experience with MDM, MFA, Email filtering, next‑generation firewalls & anti‑virus solutions, SIEM solutions such as Sentinel.
