The Work You’ll Do

* Provide superior domain expertise around Indirect Tax Technology Suite (ITTS) solutions.
* Maintain expert‑level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our products.
* Assist in the client discovery process to identify unforeseen challenges and desired solution architecture.
* Develop a firm understanding of customer needs, pain points, and requirements around the ITTS and align Sovos solutions accordingly.
* Work closely with Sovos Sales to conduct sales and solutions presentations.
* Collaborate with Professional Services and product functions to ensure a successful onboarding post‑sale.
* Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities to present a compelling and coherent narrative of key features and benefits.
* Conduct in‑depth technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and clients.
* Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior in all matters with stakeholders.
* Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction.
* Demonstrate a high degree of self‑awareness and commitment to personal development and learning.
* Focus on process improvement, adept at optimizing sales workflows and driving efficiency to enhance revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
* Develop and lead training sessions within and outside the Sales Engineer department.
* Serve as a subject‑matter expert in the creation of RFP and RFI responses for prospective new clients.


What We Need From You

* Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
* Minimum 1 year of Sales Engineer experience or equivalent.
* Ability to think strategically toward business outcomes while managing day‑to‑day details and deadlines.
* Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
* Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize activities.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Well‑developed business ethics and discretion.
* Self‑motivated and driven to succeed.
* Solid knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., APIs, SFTP, AS2) and delivery formats (e.g., IDOC, EDIFACT, XML, UBL).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Multiple language skills preferred.
* Moderate travel required for client meetings, trade shows, Sovos events, and special projects.
