We are a popular and successful Church of England Academy with 1,760 students (335 in the Sixth Form). Our aim is to fulfil individual potential and prepare pupils for life in a rapidly changing world by providing an excellent education within a Christian environment. Canon Slade School is a member of the Bishop Fraser Trust, a C of E multi academy trust established in 2017, offering opportunities to work with the other High Schools in the MAT.
The Canon Slade Trust is a charity independent from the school that raises funds to support it. Trustees oversee finances and decide which projects to support. The Secretary to the Trust provides administrative support and ensures compliance with Charity Law.
Responsibilities
* Provide clerical and organisational support to the Chair and other members of the Canon Slade Trust, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
* Liaise with bodies such as the school, HMRC, Charities Commission and auditors.
* Provide advice and guidance to the Canon Slade Trust on governance, constitutional and procedural matters.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of financial administration, clerking or secretarial duties.
* Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents and staff.
