Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer
E.ON UK is looking for an experienced Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team. This home-based role involves regular nationwide travel and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in one of the world's leading energy suppliers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the commissioning of new assets, including PV arrays, heat pumps, and battery systems.
* Developing acceptance criteria, commissioning plans, procedures, and best practices.
* Leading and supporting witness testing and acceptance testing of new assets.
* Providing technical and engineering support for existing assets (CHPs, GTs, boilers).
* Driving continuous improvement and fostering a safety culture across the business.
* Delivering technical training to internal teams.
What we need from you
* Significant experience in the energy sector, with hands‑on expertise in electrical commissioning in line with design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.
* Chartered with a relevant institute (IET).
* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671.
* Full clean UK driving licence (car allowance provided).
It would be great if you had:
* HV electrical experience.
* Experience commissioning PV assets, heat pumps, and commercial batteries.
