Job Title: Senior Team Leader - Timber Yard
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of yard workers, ensuring efficient workflow and high productivity
2. Operations Oversight: Oversee daily operations, including loading/unloading timber, stock management, and maintaining yard cleanliness
3. Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
4. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and ensure accurate record-keeping
5. Customer Service: Coordinate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues
6. Training and Development: Provide training and support to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
7. Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on yard operations, inventory status, and team performance

Key Skills and Qualifications:
8. Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within a timber yard or related industry
9. Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills
10. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time management abilities
12. Safety Awareness: In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
13. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management systems and other relevant software
14. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions
