Semefab is an established silicon wafer foundry based in Glenrothes, manufacturing microelectronics and MEMS devices for customers worldwide. The business supports a diverse customer base including multinationals, SMEs, start-ups and academic institutions, exporting the majority of its product into a wide range of global markets. As part of continued investment, Semefab is strengthening its engineering capability within the fab. This opportunity would suit an Equipment Engineer or a technically strong, multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer who enjoys working with precision-controlled manufacturing equipment where performance, repeatability and process stability are critical. The role involves maintaining specialist tools that rely on electrical control systems, instrumentation and tightly defined operating parameters, rather than large-scale mechanical plant. Direct semiconductor experience would be advantageous; however consideration would be given to engineers from other regulated or high-tech manufacturing environments.
