The Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Recycling Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and processing recyclable materials, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring materials are handled correctly for reuse or disposal.
Responsibilities:
~Sort and separate recyclable materials (plastic, glass, metal, paper, etc.) on a conveyor belt or in designated areas
~Operate recycling machinery and equipment as required (e.g., balers, shredders)
~Remove non-recyclable items from the line to avoid contamination
~Ensure correct disposal of hazardous materials in line with regulations
~Maintain cleanliness of the working area and equipment
~Follow health and safety procedures at all times
~Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to a supervisor
~Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed
~Keep accurate records and complete any required documentation
To be successful you will need:
· To be aware that the working areas are often out in all-weather terrain (full PPE issued), often sorting and processing Recycling revenue streams outdoors.
