Our client is a highly regarded regional housebuilder with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality homes across Norfolk and Suffolk. With a steady pipeline of work and around 100 units built per year, they operate locally, typically within an hour of their Suffolk office, and pride themselves on quality, consistency, and strong working relationships.They are now looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their close-knit commercial team.The RoleReporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle of residential housing developments from inception through to final account.Key responsibilities include:Managing all commercial aspects of residential housing projectsPreparing budgets, cost plans, and cashflow forecastsProcuring subcontractors and placing orders in line with company proceduresAssessing, valuing, and processing subcontractor applications and paymentsPreparing, negotiating, and agreeing variations and final accountsMonitoring costs, producing cost/value reconciliations, and managing commercial riskWorking closely with site teams to provide proactive commercial supportEnsuring compliance with contractual and commercial requirementsUndertaking some direct procurement of materials and subcontract servicesAbout YouTo be considered, you will ideally have:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential housing developmentA strong understanding of subcontract procurement and commercial managementGood contractual awareness and cost control skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesThe confidence to work autonomously while contributing to a small, collaborative teamWhat's on OfferIn return, you'll be joining a stable and successful regional developer offering:Competitive basic salaryCar allowanceAnnual bonus of up to 10%Long-term job security and local workA supportive management team and clear route to progression
