Senior Project Engineer – Highway Developments
Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Developments to join our Maintenance & Developments team based out of our Head Office in Bilsthorpe.

What you'll do:
* Undertake the evaluation of externally designed Section 38 & 278 Technical Engineering Schemes to ensure the Highway Asset meets Regional and National Design Specification and Safety Standards.
* Work with developers, consultants and stakeholders to achieve Technical Approvals in accordance with Regional and National Design Specification and Safety Standards to secure Legal Agreements under Section 38 & 278 of the Highways Act.
* Coordinate with and carry out inspections as appropriate with Site Inspectors to inspect works for technical compliance.
* To advise Highways Development Control/Planning Officers on acceptability of construction proposals and adoption issues that may arise.
* Manage consultation, communication and liaison with clients and stakeholders including members of the public and elected Members to facilitate project delivery and maintain positive company reputation.
What we're seeking:
* HNC in Civil Engineering or a related subject and post qualification relevant experience or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience in a highway and/or civil engineering environment.
* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician and Member of a Professional Institution (relevant discipline) or working towards with a development plan to gain chartership or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience demonstrated by CDP record.
* Strong ICT skills including competence in specialist computer applications used to support engineering design activities.
* Knowledge of current highway and civil engineering technical design standards and knowledge of health and safety, technical, traffic management and other legislation.
* Experience of all stages of project implementation from feasibility to construction on site.
* Valid CSCS card.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
