Overview
We are working on behalf of a leading main contractor delivering projects on the Thames Water framework, seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead growth and resilience sewer works. This Project Manager role will take full ownership of delivery from design through to handover on a package supporting new housing connections and increasing network capacity, including construction of an approximate 500m foul gravity sewer and associated manholes. The successful Project Manager will be responsible for driving performance across programme, commercial outcomes and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead delivery as Project Manager across multiple live civils/water projects from design phase through to completion, ensuring programme, quality and commercial targets are achieved.

Produce financial forecasts, monitor project costs and provide accurate monthly reporting.

Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and stakeholders; chair regular site meetings and maintain detailed project records.

Provide strong HSE leadership, ensuring risk assessments, method statements, SWMPs and environmental controls are implemented and maintained.

Coordinate site investigations, temporary works and traffic management activities, ensuring compliance with NRSWA/HAUC/Chapter 8 and relevant regulatory standards.

Oversee technical delivery including review of work packages, closure of technical queries, production of ITPs, QA documentation, as-builts and O&M manuals.

Maintain strong relationships with the client, design teams and framework partners.
*
Maintain commercial awareness by managing variations, supporting estimating and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
*
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
*
Demonstrable experience delivering clean or foul water infrastructure projects, particularly sewer networks or wastewater schemes.
*
Strong NEC contract knowledge with experience in cost control, forecasting, programme management and risk management.
*
SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction Certificate and CSCS Manager’s card.
*
Experience using Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
*
Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge design and resolve technical issues expected from a high-performing Project Manager.
Desirable
*
CEng / MICE (or working towards).
*
Knowledge of JCT contracts.
*
Experience working within AMP water frameworks.
