Endoscopy Practitioner – 7‑Month Fixed Term Contract
Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield. 37.5 hours per week. Fixed‑term salary up to £38,000 per year (depending on experience, training and qualification).
The role holder will cover a flexible shift pattern.
Responsibilities
* Support the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and the wider community.
* Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
* Develop personal competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical and technical knowledge, skill and expertise.
* Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
* Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
* Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
Qualifications
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
* Basic and advanced competence/qualification in endoscopy care and decontamination.
* Operator’s course in endoscopy decontamination.
* Teaching, assessing or mentorship qualification.
* Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM01‑06).
* ILS.
* Experience in a minor operation, scrub or circulating role is desirable.
