What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be at the heart of our People team, supporting across the full spectrum of HR activity; from onboarding and employee engagement to learning and development, data reporting, and compliance. You’ll often be the first person our new joiners interact with, representing both the People team and the firm’s culture. You’ll help us streamline processes, apply employment law and best practice, and make a real impact on how we support our people. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to employee relations, support with growth initiatives, and handle more complex queries as your confidence and experience grow. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating onboarding for new joiners, including scheduling, staff passes, IT setup, and pre-employment checks. Supporting employee engagement initiatives and monitoring feedback. Managing HR systems including monthly reconciliations and data updates. Tracking TOIL, sickness absence, DBS status, and professional subscriptions. Booking and logging internal and external training, updating L&D budgets, and uploading training data. Assisting with HR reporting, diary management, and policy updates. Handling corporate travel accounts. Coordinating work experience placements. Receiving training to provide cover for payroll uploads and benefits queries, ensuring continuity and accuracy in these critical areas. Supporting the People Directors on strategic growth projects spanning workforce planning, DEI, ESG, and employee development, helping to shape initiatives that drive long-term impact across the firm. You’ll be good with numbers, technically competent, and ideally have experience using Excel and working with data, skills that will help you contribute to reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement across the team.
